Personally, I think the interesting thing about P2P is that you get to choose who you are associated with - rather than just being lumped together into the common pool as is often the case otherwise... 

However, I also think that where P2P may come unstuck is in trying to make insurance more interesting, and the reality is people don't want to discuss grouping together their insurance with their mates after a football match, or at book club, or at a family gathering...

Fortunately, this is likely to be a hot topic in the insurance sector over the coming weeks and months, so I'm sure there'll be plenty of opportunity to be convinced.... or not.
